Apple Cider Vinegar ….Burns Fat????

The old saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” is not a far-fetched idea or an old wives’ tale. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is made up of pulverized apples which, when allowed to ferment, produce healthy apple cider vinegar. The main component is acetic acid which is known for helping support weight management. In 2009, The Bioscience, Biotechnology and Biochemistry journal conducted a study and found that drinking apple cider vinegar for only three months caused significant declines in body weight, abdominal fat, waist circumference, and triglycerides. Other health benefits may include improved blood sugar levels, blood pressure levels, sleep quality, energy levels, digestion and heart health.
Apple cider vinegar has been singled out as a helpful home remedy. While many of the folk medicine remedies are unproven, a few do have medical research backing them up. Some studies have hinted that apple cider vinegar may help several conditions including diabetes and obesity. The effect of vinegar on blood sugar levels is perhaps the best researched and most promising of apple cider vinegar’s possible health benefits. Several studies indicate it lowers glucose levels. Diabetic patients with type 2 diabetes took 2 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar before bed and had glucose levels the next morning that had decreased by 4 to 6%.
Research shows that taking ACV diluted in water before meal time may help you to feel full sooner. Consequently, you may eat less during your meal which could help you to manage your weight.
Apple cider vinegar can also be of service while on the HCG Diet! If you are on a stubborn plateau or want to try to maximize your daily loss, add 2 Tbsp of ACV to your daily regimen. Know that ACV may cause discomfort if you digest the vinegar without diluting it first so some resources recommend that you take the ACV by diluting it with water, i.e., add 2 Tbsp of vinegar to 8 ounces of water. It’s a good idea to drink it with a straw or to chug it all at once versus sipping it throughout the day since vinegar has been shown to have negative side effects on tooth enamel.
Diluted vinegar doesn’t taste the best but you can add lemon juice to the diluted mixture along with a little lemon stevia which helps to alleviate that bitter flavor! So, here’s to you and a successful round… cheers!
